Suzy's reaction about feeling disdain for the village after finding out this whole plot twist is very interesting and why I love this show. Jiraya was trying to find the answer to this very thing. How do we understand each other when there's so much pain in the world? It's easy to hold grudge against the whole village when most of the people in it are good with the exception of some bad people working in the shadows. It's crazy how a few bad apples can make a whole town, country, etc. seems so despicable.

Danzo is my least favorite character in Naruto period.

It's not really the village you should have resentment towards but rather Danzo and the other two council members as they're the only ones who knew. The 3rd also knew but tried to come about it a different way that was more peaceful but failed, it's really sad and hard to choose between right and wrong in this case.

I think knowing the truth about Itachi before his death was against the plan for the show and manga. Just like Itachi was to be branded a criminal to the shinobi world I think he was to be seen as a criminal and an akatsuki member in the eyes of the viewer whether we liked him as a character or not. Besides knowing the information afterwards makes you want to respect Itachi and his sacrifices. His planning and calculation to every scenario was brilliant.

Besides the show gave you many characters back stories before or during their last battle which made you feel bad for them right away I think this was a nice change.

Okay so a couple things first I wouldn't have told Sasuke the whole point of not telling Sasuke is because Itachi wanted Sasuke to continue to believe that his clan was a proud Clan and happy to be part of the Hidden leaf staging a coup d'etat and failing would have brung disgrace upon the Uchiha Clan which would have probably push them further into isolation.

Secondly I don't think you caught that Sasuke had awaken his Mangekyou Sharingan at the end of the episode Itachi wanted Sasuke to build up the anger so that he will get powerful enough to fight him like Madara said he needed to push Sasuke hard in that fight so that when the fight was over he would awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan and remember in the prior episode Madara said that the only way that you can awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan is by killing the one closest to you.

the parts that were not explained properly because of the dub,
1) if there is civil war in the leaf, other nations will invade the leaf causing a 4th great ninja war and a lot of innocent people have to die because the uchiha were selfish in way.
2) Itachi did not want sasuke to know the truth because like you said he may take revenge on the leaf but also he wanted sasuke to become a hero of the hidden leaf for killing itachi (the traitor in their eyes) and return to the village.

What is crazy is if you go back to Episode 84 of OG Naruto you can see Itachi notice the Curse mark on Sasuke. Right at the end of the episode after breaking Sasuke’s wrist. Sasuke is on the ground and Itachi looks down at him and The curse Mark is visible. So Kishimoto (Creator of Naruto) had this planned way before Shippuden.

Suzy has fallen into Madera's trap, just like Sasuke. How can you say burn the village down for the decisions of only 4 people?

Sasuke wanted to punish the people who brought suffering to his brother and was responsible for killing his clan, it makes sense why he wanted to destroy the leaf at this stage

Now you know why there are hard core Itachi fans lol

The next 2 are Canon suzy! Also i think this is one of the parts where I think naruto story is really well developed. You don't usually see the so called "good guys" in this light. It's nice for them to actually have the watcher be conflicted about which side to take, every person has different priorities and views so there will be some that will be on the leaf side and some that will be questioning their motives and ways in some choices like this one.

Yes, All this time, Itachi was a good guy

I'm not VIP but I think you felt a little bit sorry about Itachi. I think that's a normal reaction when you finds out the truth about him, I bet there is no one that after knowing the truth don't felt sorry, I'm not telling about crying, I don't see any problem when you don't cry, some people don't cry when finds out the truth, just the really sensitive people cry reacting to it, but at least feel sorry a little bit all the people feel.

Itachi for hokage 2020! lmao Itachi is the greatest I swear! Uchiha clan grows their strength by love and hatred so I definetly would have told him the truth. Now he hates the villages and will grow from it.

You shouldn't resent the village. Only 4 people knew about this. And the third tried to stop it. if you need to resent someone, resent Danzo and the two old crones with him. The village didn't know.
