I think, if Itachi had been the one to tell Sasuke the truth, and had actually explained his feelings and opinions on the situation from his point of view, then he would've been able to convince Sasuke not to destroy Konoha. But since he's hearing from Madara, after Itachi is already dead, of course his immediate reaction is to want vengeance. And he has no one around him in this moment to try and dissuade him from this course of action.
i think Itachi wanted Sasuke to be proud of the Uchiha name and the hero who avenged his clan, he figured the hatred would make Sasuke stronger, and he would have to get strong with Danzo around.....he also still loved his village and didn't want Sasuke to leave the leaf village....and especially not to hate the leaf. he probably figured Sasuke is too young to understand how much death and possible great ninja war it could have created, causing far more innocent deaths.....thats what i think at least....
Madara is lying but telling the truth at the same time because he left out some things and manipulating Sasuke to the fullest but the blame doesn't just go to the third hokage and the elders, it also goes with a certain self absorb evil asshole who's the friend of the third hokage.
Suzy, I understand Sasuke being angry with the Village, but Madara said that Fugaku, Sasuke's father, was behind the plans to attack the rest of the village and that the Uchiha clan was really acting like an enemy within the Hidden Leaf Village itself, they were not the good guys.
That's understandable but they were also being oppressed and they had had enough of the bs. I think they should have gone about it another way but as Madara foretold, the Uchiha were to be oppressed and outcast and seen as untrustworthy. Since the village's inception people like the 2nd Hokage distrusted them that's why he established the police force for the Uchiha to give them a false sense of worth and power when they were really being watched the whole time.
I totally agree with you man. I mean yeah I get that the Uchiha were oppressed and it was cruel that they were pushed outside the village, but plotting a coup without trying even to express their complaints and negotiate to find a solution, for me it's at least unacceptable. The third hokage would have listen to them, but they put their pride in front .. I don't know. I can understand them, but not reason them... :(
