Truth - Naruto Shippuden Episode 141 Reaction

So here are my thoughts:
Its not the leaf village that made Itachi's life hell, right? It's those 4 idiots - Danzo, 2 advisors and the 3rd. No one else was involved in the decision. So I don't hate the leaf, I hate these people.
I used to respect the 3rd so much but after knowing this story, I felt its 3rd hokage's failure. Why does he have to listen to the other 3, he is the hokage. I know its said that the 3rd tried his best to get a peaceful solution but they ran out of time and he had to give the order to Itachi but still he should have figured out another way. I totally accept it's a very hard decision.
I also don't like the Uchiha's plan. I understand they were oppressed and all but a coup, really. Shouldn't they consider the consequences of civil war. If they were ready for innocent people to die then they are also to blame for Itachi's fate.
Now, Itachi, ah what can I say. He is the best but I guess an argument can be made that he couldn't find a peaceful solution like the 3rd. Still I can't say anything against him. He just wanted peace with casualty as minimum as possible. The greater good theory. The strength it must have taken to do what he did.
I would have loved for Itachi to have met with Jiraiya, you know, with Jiraiya knowing the truth. The conversations between them would be gold. Both of them are for peace. Both of them were kind of forced into the idea of peace but they really wanted peace from the bottom of their hearts. A dream team - Jiraiya, 4th, Kakashi and Itachi.
About whether Sasuke should have been told beforehand, I think yes. Itachi wanted him to think of Uchiha clan as good and proud but no, he should know the truth.
Woah, this was a long post. Thanks for reading. The funny thing is I can make arguments against everything I wrote here. This is such a complex problem. Kudos to naruto's writing team.

I agree that the 3rd did his best despite it being a failure on his part. That said, even though we don't know the truth for sure, I firmly believe that this wasn't Hiruzen's call. Knowing Danzo and his method, I'm more inclined to believe that it was him who made that move and reported it to the 3rd afterward.
The Uchiha was in a desperate situation. It's more likely that they either didn't care about the repercussion or simply believe that they're powerful enough to handle it on their own. It is a reckless plan, but when you're clan is oppressed for most of the village history, they probably reached a conclusion that something radical needs to happen to change that. I'm not saying you need to like the plan (it was definitely a stupid plan to start with), but I understand where they're coming from. And yes, their recklessness are absolutely also to be blame for Itachi's fate.
Itachi and Jiraya in a team would be sick though. It's too bad the only interaction they have in the series is that brief fight before Naruto's training for rasengan.

Look at the final scene with Sasuke opening his eyes. It’s his new Mangekyo Sharingan. Its a totally different pattern than Itachi’s and Kakashi’s. Kinda wish the anime didn’t do that whole fade-is scene because its sometimes hard for new watches to catch it.
