I think what you're saying is that the need of a few (Uchiha Clan) can not be prioritised over the needs of the many (Hidden Leaf Village). You just gave a very bad analogy. But in my opinion both the Uchiha Clan and the Hidden leaf Village were responsible. Uchiha could have used their power for better negotiations instead of a coup & hidden leaf could have avoided unjust suspicion on the Uchiha and their oppression & marginalization.
