Suzy... this is one of those stories that isn't black and white, there is a whole bunch of gray areas here; like, friggin Game of Thrones has got nothing on Naruto when it comes to morality alignment. Danzo is a classic anti-hero. Where Sarutobi was the loving grandfather-type who would've done anything for the leaf village in the light, Danzo took it upon himself to protect the village in the dark, being as ruthless as he had to be. His agenda was always clean, even though his methods were questionable from some points of view.
Does she even pay attention? Every plot point has to be explained to her in the comments. She completely got the history of danzo and the uchiha coup wrong.

I feel like you don’t understand the character sometimes. Danzo wasn’t really the bad guy. Killing the Uchiha clan was a necessary evil to keep the peace. Don’t forget that it was uchiha who were planning to take power by force. Danzo didn’t just want to be hokage cause he was greedy but because he wanted to change the world. It’s like Sai said, sometimes his methods are crude but all he does is protect the village.
No, pichon is right, Danzo had his way of protecting the Village, even it being the wrong way. In real world it happens a lot, governments that uses bad ways to get "peace". USA government is kinda Danzo, protect his "village" but does a lot of bad things in the shadows.
Danzo's backstory meant nothing to me because after hearing from Tsunade that he believes in the sketchy principles, didn't like the Third Hokaga, hiding from Pain during the attack on the village, and most importantly what would happen to him if he used the Izanagi and lost all those Sharingan eyes. He'd easily be defeated without relying on the Izanagi
I get that he wanted to stop the Uchiha rebellion but it should've been done peacefully and i feel like that it was his fault that it started in the first place and he just didn't realize it. Just lacking a few brain cells and just too obsessed with the negative side of his rivalry, the poor ruthless fool
Man suzy really thinks danzo "killed" the uchiha just to prevent their up rising? she flipped when she heard that danzo wanted to "control" the nine tails...yamato can control the nine tails , he basically acquired the same powers...feels like suzy didn't understand a thing from itachi's backstory...she is even having a hard time figuring out if sasuke is the bad guy now...man i wish i can speak to her and explain to her the points in itachi's story that she missed.
Really shouldn't surprise you at this point that Sasuke doesn't care about his comrades. He has shown time and time again that he doesn't care about anyone. I think people tend to fall into this mindset of "Sasuke is on a bad path but he's not a bad person". No. He's a bad person. It's easier to accept it and move on then to keep pretending he's a good guy.
Danzo may have been a hateful character to watch but he took responsiblity of the dark side of Leaf.. just like any other leaf citizen danzo loves the village ad much as any other, his method was dark but hes a great person who does anything to feel the leaf safe.. i kinda like his love for the village though i hate his method...and the bgm damn!!! my favourite!!!
