That goes to show how strong Hidan was. I mean Asuma took out like 9 Sound Jonin without breaking a sweat and then got whooped by Hidan with the exception of Shikamaru saving his butt.

Asuma didn’t die pointless, he sacrificed himself in order for the others not to be slaughtered as well. Died in episode 80 like his Father.

cant believe she really said that, i understand she's all upset but damn just dismiss the character that easily. hell imagine if she would've read the manga first,
Asuma didnt have that much story or least not fleshed out like the anime's filler arc.

Fact: Hiruzen Sarutobi (3 Hokage) and his son Asuma died in the episode at number 80 - an unlucky number for Sarutobi. But Asuma didn 't die with a sword in his back for several episodes.

No. There's an entire clan. It's just that Kishimoto doesn't want to draw that many characters if they aren't gonna be vital to the story.
