The Filler Arc was a trap. It was all to make this death feel even worse because before the filler arc we barely saw Asuma. But you have to watch the filler did you. lol.

This arc is really the turning point in the narrative of the show, things definitely get much more serious from here, and the stakes are much higher

really sad episode. but really well made. the soundtrack. the memories. the cigarrete scene. really unforgetable well made episode.
watching the filler arc was awesome for really start liking Asuma.
such a good character.
really nice friendship that he had with,Shikamaru,Chouji and ino.
i would like to see more about him before. but in my opinion the filler arc was enough to make his character even more memorable.
rewatching these episodes hearing your thoughts is awesome. keep it up

that scene with Ino trying to heal Asuma reminded me of Tsunade trying to heal Dan when he was dying, it was raining that time as well :( well thanks to Asuma as he said they would focus more on him and the others would survive, he was definitely happy about keeping Shikamaru alive even if it cost him his life, they had no chance in that fight so this was unfortunately the best possible outcome :( its good you got to at least spend this much time with Asuma, there are people who skipped the filler arc and this was all they have seen of him which really sucks...he saved Shikamaru before in the forest during that Gaara chase when Shikamaru volunteered he would stay behind and stope their pursuers, he also confronted Itachi and Kisame when they came to the village, he did have his moments but unfortunately the Akatsuki took him from us :( they really wanted to hurt us
