It's funny she mentions Shippuuden's animation had been good lately....because next we have the infamous episode 167. Which technically has good animation but horrendous art and direction I guess? Either way, it looks real bad. She'll see soon, probably already has actually.

Not so much for bad animation, but there is one particular scene where you look at the screen like "WTF"? it's really weird

No, the animation is superb. It's the artstyle and directive choices that are just REAAAALLLY out there.

I can see it, I know what you're referencing. I always looked at the art style as what made Naruto, Naruto. Look at the first Naruto vs Sasuke fight - very similar & sort of a precursor.

Only among people that don't understand basic animation concepts like squash and stretch. It's actually one of the best animation sequences in the show, probably top 10. The people who complain about the art-style are idiots tbh, it's like complaining that an action movie is too flashy for having big explosions and special effects.

It's infamous among people that are uncomfortable with unique art styles, yes. Same people that wouldn't watch Jojo for the art style despite it being amazing. In actuality the animation and art of 167 is among the best in the entire series.
