Great reaction suzy. Though what pain said is true people have different perspective on what justice is and what he is doing is like what the leaf had done to his home in that great war.

Hey Suzy if pain wanted revenge he would have destroyed the leaf a long time ago he just needs the tailed beast and it jus so happens that Naruto is in that village if he wanted revenge that would make him a hypocrite because he just said if your form of justice is vengeance it will just trigger a cycle of hatred which is wat he doesent want but the ends justify the means in his eyes

Hey suzy so if you forgot what pain and the orange haired kid names are, pain's real name is Nagato and the orange haired kid is Yahiko. I only mentioned it because you called pain and yahiko the red or orange haired kid so I assumed you forgot their names.

I was waiting for that reaction when Pain said the hidden leaf did the same thing to his love one? Even Naruto is shook and don’t know what to say. He grew up thinking the Leaf is right the whole time.

The exact same thing could be said about Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan's village when the Leaf Village and other Great Nations decided to exploit them and profit from it. Pain is giving voice to the "others" in the world who also suffer. The Hidden Leaf and the other Great Nations took advantage of them so their own lands wouldn't be destroyed by the constant warring. Why is it only OK for the Hidden Leaf to spout BS about peace and justice when he, Yahiko, Konan, and everyone else in the Ninja World also suffer the same pain? He's calling out the hypocrisy Naruto and the Leaf are trying to use to justify themselves.

This speech known as Pain’s cycle of hatred is one of the many reasons why he’s one of the best villains in all of anime history and easily the best in the Naruto franchise.

Not hating, just thought the double standards at play here were interesting haha. It's ok for Naruto to want revenge for Jiraiya and Kakashi and for Shikamaru to literally track down and murder Hidan and Kakuzu for revenge, and for Sasuke to hunt Itachi, but you don't condone Pain's "revenge"? Not hating, just pointing out how the Cycle of Hatred has been at play in the series since day 1.
The entire arc as Pain has been killing and destroying, we're set up to hate him and want him dead only for all those feelings to be called out by Pain himself. Great writing on Kishimoto's part, this is where Naruto peaked IMO.
