No, he definitely didn’t surpass the 4th hokage, not even close, not even in the same league, not even 1/10, not even 1/100. Kakashi is still way more powerful than naruto. You’ll figure the power-scale later, but for now take what kakashi said with a grain of salt, because he only said that as support for naruto for accomplishing an impossible Jutsu, but he was exaggerating and downplaying himself. Lord forth could defeat kakuzu in a instant along with a couple more akatsukis too, kakashi could’ve sucked him into kamui too but didn’t go avoid getting exhausted, naruto struggled to kill 2 hearts.

The next filler arc does have some good moments, but I think it drags on the story a bit. The story is fine but it's just that after the filler we get tons of new information. I will say you should do whatever you want to do, either way I am going to watch your reactions.
