"you never know if a character will die in a filler arc" I don't think is too accurate. no one has ever died in a filler arc of any anime other than filler characters. Glad to be getting back to canon soon!

Also its filler so no need to worry if characters will die or not even if they did they'll just bring them back in the next episode lol coz it has no value in the overarching story

None of the key characters in the anime plot can die in fillers. And Yes-Akatsuki appeared- long live the Canon.
