those two filler episodes were made as a promotion for "Naruto Shippūden the Movie: The Lost Tower".

Fyi, the next filler section is the same as the 2 previous episodes, standalone OG stuff. Some are less enjoyable than others so don't get your hopes too hight.
Btw, when you said that nobody else but Naruto could beat Pain all alone, you probably forgot about Gai. He could've wiped the floor with Pain and prime Nagato. The dude's so OP that Kishimoto had him away from the village or else the arc would've been much shorter.

No, if the whole Naruto anime would be the same, but starting and watching from Pain Point of View, it wouldn't feel the same. Because even if it would start from this point or even earlier, he eventually becomes a villain, and it doesn't matter if in the beggining of Nagato Shippuuden he was a good guy and his parrents died. There's no justification for what he does after he creates Akatsuki etc.
Naruto Shippuuden = Story about a good guy, Hero.
Nagato Shippuuden = Story about a bad guy, Villain.

Pain wouldn't have killed jiraya,if jiraya didn't infiltrate the land of rain illegally. moreover, jiraya got many chances to run but he stuck on fighting. pain is a war orphan, hidden leaf village had destroyed his life and land. he lived a life much worse than naruto. Thats why he wanted revenge, we all would have wanted the same if we were nagato, no one has so bright heart to forgive in this world.Naruto and pain wanted the same justice in name of revenge. thats why pain asked naruto how would he break this cycle of hatred?

It's perfectly ok to hate Pain, not like he's the only one with childhood trauma in this show. He was corrupted by power, and was easily manipulated. Fuck him, he's a righteous sanctimonious psycho. That being said, he's story is very interesting, and they do a great job fleshing out his character and his motivations.
