Pain worshipper: HA!! Kakashi is strong and all, but even Jiraiya couldn't even stand to Pain. Kakashi had no chance standing up to even a SINGLE ONE of them!!!!

Not to mention they get exponentially tougher when you're fighting multiples because of the shared vision.

Kakashi was up against two, including the strongest.

Konohamaru was up solo against one of the weakest.

Naruto is a great series but honestly when you see things like this, its obviously what separates the quality of writing from mangaka's like ODA and Togashi with Kishimoto. Not as bad as hiro mashima though.

The comment section is a great thing, but when you see comments like this it's obvious that some people don't pay attention at all. Tendo Pain is the strongest, that's why Kakashi lost. There's no inconsistency.

Meme aside, I half agree with you. But also, kid Naruto beat Kabuto, who was powerful enough to become Orochimaru's right-hand man and (taking aside the fact that he cheated his win by exploiting Tsunade fear of blood) was able to go toe-to-toe with Tsunade for little while without being completely overpowered.

Don’t remember the words exactly but Jiraiya said kabuto could go toe to toe with kakashi. I also think we all underestimate how powerful the rasengan is due to the ridiculous power scaling in shipuden.

Not really, take in mind:

Jiraiya managed to take 3 of them down

While Kakashi faced the 2 strongest ones

Konohamaru is facing one of the weaker ones

Tendo is by far the strongest Pain. I mean it's not even close. It's not surprising that Kakashi was killed by him. The one Konohamaru fought wasn't on the same level. Plus its shown many times that super strong ninja aren't above being tricked by simple diversionary jutsu. Also when the weaker Pains are alone they lack the advantage of linked vision so it's not surprising that Konohamaru was able to use the shadow clone to get behind the Pain and take him out with one of the strongest Jutsu's

Just a remark...
First Jigokudo is not weak or the weakest or anything.
Even without his Weird Jutsu, He has Speed and Raw power that he can take many Jonin at one time.
Konohamaru was lucky, smart and used the element of surprise when Jigokudo let his guard down.
Also Kakashi wasn't killed by Pain.
Even if Kakashi isn't an Uchiha, he used his mangekyo Sharingan many times to the point it took him all his chakra and stamina which is letal in Naruto's world.
But sure there wasn't another way so it can't be helped.

I agree with you there. I just wanted to add that it's not "Even if Kakashi isn't an Uchiha", but PRECISELY BECAUSE he wasn't an Uchiha that his quota for sharingan is lower than an average users from the clan. It's the reason why he kept his under his headband outside of battle.
