In the manga, Mikami doesn’t stab himself for Light. He actually renounces his faith in Kira and calls Light a fraud after seeing him writhing in the dirt, pleading for his life. Also, Light dies in the warehouse, begging Ryuk to spare his life. It’s more satisfying than the anime ending if you hate Light lol.

Hey Suzy, have you ever watched the movie 'next'?

I wonder what would you do if at the last minute after Light dies, he wakes up at the first moment he picked up the deathnote? AND he has all those memories and experience as well?

Succh a twist ending, imagine would leaving you shocked and raging. lol

I urge you not to watch the american version of Deathnote but the Japanese version. I think there's both english sub and english dub and you would probably like the ending. Then you are welcome to rage at Hollywood's attempt at a Deathnote movie.

The ending of the Death Note films is better than the anime IMO. I agree with you there that they are definitely worth a watch.

Ultimately Light loss not because HE made a mistake but because the other guy did. If he had just followed orders and not went out of his way to go to the real notebook Light would have won.That realization has to suck, lol.

exactly light and l were both smarter than near in my opinion. That's why I don't really like this ending.

I agree.I honestly feel the series should have ended with L. I read a interview of the authors who wrote the manga and honestly. The way they talked about it, seemed like they killed L because it was the outcome no one saw coming (and they were right) but then had to scramble to come up with the story after that. Plus I really cannot take Near seriously in the dub. I just find it way too hilarious how much he sounds like Jodie Foster. It does make me enjoy watching the character, but for all the wrong reasons.

I was team L, and I was mad satisfied when Light finally got what was coming to him. It was a great ending for a great anime.

in the books its unkown if she jumps or not.


Baskilisk as the next short anime to watch, that show is amazing
