You asked why he didn't kill Naruto. In the episode of naruto he explained it at the end, when he walked away. He said he doesn't want to gain power by following itachi's words (killing his best friend). He said he will gain power, but doing it his way and not kill naruto.

So now Sasuke can take on Itachi? Or Itachi is still stronger?.... don't tell me anything I'm just talking to myself.
