This story is more chill as far as life-and-death compared to the other arcs.

I disagree about queen NPC being programmed to target their group specifically... it was more of the first party to be disgusted of hunting jellyphants for Excalibur as a reward. Saying that allowed them this special quest at least that's how I saw it

So, despite what other people may say, this is actually one of my favorite arcs in the series.

Also, the part where Kirito describes what happened "a few months ago" at the beginning of the episode actually took place during the Fairy Dance Arc (the second part of the first season) in the books. I'm thinking they couldn't really fit that whole sequence into that arc (which was a bit longer in the books than it was in the anime), so they just included it as a flashback here instead.

Klein is just roleplaying. He said in the first episode that he really liked that SAO was an MMO without magic in it. For some reason he just doesn't want to use it, he wants to roleplay as a pure swordsman. the others are just teasing him because it's Klein and it's fun to tease Klein.

It's just a couple episodes of all the crew having fun with this quest. There's not a big IRL threat. But I like it a lot! Everyone get their cool fight scenes, better chance to check other parts of this big world that the seed created.
