i honestly don't feel like kirito is being hard on himself for killing those players when he talks about making amends for it. he's accepting what it means to kill someone and allowing himself to move on through the act of stopping death gun.

edit: also it was really frustrating how much she talked over the characters this episode =/ like it's fine most the time but when it's dialogue heavy and explaining things like this episode it would be best to pause it or something x.x

I freaking love SAO and how it gets her every episode! I've seen the whole thing like twice now.. can't wait for SAO war of the underworld pt. 2 start airing in april

To answer your question of the "smash" part in his name, this is only my guess but I'd say is how much health he has so people like Asuna can see how much health is left on their hp bar in the game before they die and game over.

Death Gun was a SAO player so him using a sword is not surprising; basically its like settling a score with swords. Also, its perhaps a bit of nostalgia as well

Bullet lines don't show up for the 1st shot of a sniper, for example Sinon sniped her 1st target and succeeded, but then on her 2nd shot with the mini gun easily dodged it because of the bullet line. Sinon explained this to Kirito about what a bullet line is by the way.

Its kinda a weak plot point. I mean if they know its Laughing Coffin then just have the government (who is in charge of Kirito) inspect all surviving members. If could see if they are home, or online at the time. You could argue that there isn't a guarantee but still it is something they should move on.

Side note: They are recorded but the Audio isn't (mentioned in previous episode)
