i actually paused to calculate the number of applicants left and found there were 90 people left, meaning 10 people failed.

This isn't really a significant detail but it helps color in this episode a little. It gets revealed later, that Gang Orca is actually a very supportive hero who very much wants to nurture and develop the next generation. So in this episode, he never attacked with any real intention of hurting anyone, and he does leave open opportunities to let the students attack him. He's trying to give them opportunities to really learn. So when he puts down Todoroki and starts walking towards Yoarashi, he's subtly giving them a quick moment to figure out a strategy to attack him.

Had he been going full out from the very get go, I doubt the students would have had such an easy time with him. As you'll continue to see as the series goes on, the pros are legit. And if Gang Orca is ranked at #10 he's not to be underestimated. In this battle he only really showed off his sonic attack, but he's also ridiculously strong and fast too.

Lmao Gang Orca said might’ve had a hard time, not that he would’ve lost. Todoroki and wind dude(idk how to spell it) were down after that attack.

todoroki was in a dark place at that point and then inasa mentioned endeavor so im not surprised he was rude lol

Technically it is Todoroki's fault because of how Todoroki treated the other guy in the past. Even if he forgot the past is there you just can't erase it like it didn't happen.

Then the other guy shouldn't be a Hero if little things like that impact him greatly. He's too soft to be a hero.

Todoroki was a cold (get it? hah) jerk for a long time before Midoriya set him straight. Yoarashi never gave him a chance to change and improve himself before setting in a major grudge over a very small slight against him. You really shouldn't go through life carrying grudges over shit like that. It's not healthy and it gets in your way.
