They’re being selfish and stupid. They know that the pro heroes are already planning a rescue OP, but because they want to be the ones to rescue their friend they’re willing to jeopardise the entire rescue just so they don’t feel like they failed. That’s not helping and that’s not caring about your friend that’s being selfish. If you really cared about your friend you wouldn’t risk screwing up the one chance to rescue him just because you want to be the one to do it

Just a fun tidbit, in Japan fruit can be seen as a luxury gift to someone (and some melons can go for THOUSANDS of dollars in Japan) but one like is pictured being given to Deku would cost about $200 USD.

I couldn’t do it. Saving one is NOT worth the risk of not being able to save more down the road because I chose to break the rules and therefore lost any opportunity to become a hero. In the moment, I’m sure I would have. But after thought, I’d have to trust the real hero’s to do their job.

One of my favorite aspects of this show is kirishima and Bakugo's friendship so seeing Kirishima really hurt and fighting to save him just touches my heart and I have to respect his decision as his best friend to save him.

Rescue!

I vote rescue. The students have to look out for each other, they are classmates, friends and allies.
