i suggest you watching the OVAs A Choice with No regrets Part 1 and Part 2
to know more about Levi's backstory
this OVA shows Levi's Childhood and also shows Levi's first encounter with Erwin

the problem suzy its that AoT its treated as a mature seinen type of series, not a typical shonen, because it uses deep themes and it gets on a very complicated narrative set.

If you want easy series to watch to then just stick with shonen anime, Bleach for example its one that you haven´t see that its great to just react and not think about it too much.

While AoT its the game of thrones of anime in a sense. Great if you like to analyze a series, not great to just turn off your brain and watch it, that's why you like 1 season as much while it is regarded as the weakest season of attack of titan for the fandom.

A lot of mindless actions and dramatic pieces, not a lot of answers or really anything besides that.
