Am i the only one who didn't especially like Levi? I dunno, but i feel like all the anime watchers are suckers for EDGY characters, and Levi is definitelly edgy, he's like Sasuke, but worse. He always pissed me, there was nothing going for him except his fighting skills that were out of this world (literally, by the way, the show would be much better if they made the fights a bit more realistic though, but no they had to make cool OP guy who spins like Sonic Hedgehog...) and he was always edgy, but he wasn't funny or anything. And especially in this episode, he got on my nerves.
I think "everyone" is a bit of an overstatement but regardless of the motivations behind his actions it is fair to oppose his behaviour / react negatively to it since all we have known is EMA as friends and he acts like that towards them. And at this point everything you mentioned is speculation.

This episode was the one I was talking about were eren had a talk with Mikasa and armin. At first I was what the hell happened what’s going on. But knowing aot then I knew there are answers in those episodes for later episodes. And I saw another reactors perspective and it opened my eyes, I think the point of eren being so aggressive towards armin and mikasa is that he needed them to open there eyes and be free because they were being enslaved. And I do believe he cares about them a lot that’s why he has flock doing all the dirty work and has his friends away from all the action. And I believe that eren is right to a point of making the tough decisions it ain’t pretty but they are the right moves to make because they literally didn’t have time to do anything else
