mIDORYIA WAS ALSO SAVING tODOROKI LIKE HE PUT HIM OVER THE MATCH BUT STILL WANTED TO DO BOTH BUT HE TRULY WAS LIKE A HERO MENTALLY WANTING to internally SAVE HIM and embrace his self fully for who he is not who people make him out to be. who was doing it OVER WINNING AS NUMBER one when he had the advantage like all might said.

THIS EPISODE TOLD THE STORY IN ONE WHERE IN OLD DAYS IT WOULDVE BEEN MULTIPLE MAN THEY DID SO MUCH IN LITTLE TIME YOU COULDNT EVEN FEEL THE DIFFERENCE JUST LIKE THE STAIN EPISODE LATER.

Todoroki's father is kinda like Kachan. They have not good manners, but they are heroes anyway.

this is my favorite episode on this season,
and my third favorite episode on this show so far.
this anime have some of the most epic moments i've seen on a anime.
and the end of this episode is one of that moments.
the moment when he start using his fire.the animation on that moment.
the words of his mom.
so sad. and so epic at the same tme.
incredibly emotional episode from the beginning to the end.
Midoriya is such a character. he was trying to save todoroki. and he did.
what a hero.
it's awesome to rewatch these episodes and hear your thoughts on it.

Also you have to remember Shotos mom was traumatized and not in the right mindset due to all of the abuse from Endeavor.

You're partially right with Midoria wanting Todoroki to use his full strength for the fight because he wanted a good fight. But the main reason was to help Todoroki realize his potential because he couldn't get past his own mind block that only let him use half his power. He wanted to essentially "save" Todoroki in this way. That's why Midoria is so great, he did this knowing it would be a detriment to himself in the fight. He didn't care, he just wanted to help Todoroki.

Suzy, I think you misunderstood the episode a little. I think Deku wanted to "save" Todoroki. That's just Deku's nature.

There is a bunch of controversy in what would have happened if no one stepped in to stop the match and I'm still in the opinion that they would have knocked each other out and it would have been a draw.
