Everyone always dismisses Sasha's comment about hearing Anne likes sweets. They live in an undeveloped world. Sweets are not something that would be available to common people. Having access to sweets would means she has to be some kind of nobility or something. In which case, why is she here signing up to be a solder?

They were close friends.. they helped him during his cadet training. So its very understandable why he hesitated judging them..

the plan is for them to get them undergrounds not for eren to go with them on his own solo quest so for once he was trying to dismiss it and following directions.

Suzy you kept asking what's so special about Marco when he died and when Eren didn't want to believe Annie was the female titan, that's like if you were friends with someone for years and one day they rob you at gun point, it's kind of hard to believe, you think you knew a guy

What you say that Eren is cocky and confident, is not true. At least not in this case.
Eren is doubtful of them being titans, because he's actually a good friend, they are like a second family to him (after the real family, which doesn't exist anymore), and he trusts them so much, he doesn't want to believe in what he sees. He knows, all of what Armin and the others said is true and makes sense, but he doesn't want it to be true.

Don't really understand why you don't understand Erens hesitation to believe it. They trained, slept, ate, fought and etc together for 3 years. The only reason Eren was able to become a scout was because of reiner and bertholt, they helped him train on the ODM gear when he was about to fail. These soldiers built relationships and come camaraderie in that time. He trusted them. For him to know that they are the titans responsible for his mom to get eaten 5 years ago would be a hard pill to swallow.

Funny thing is in episode 3 or 4 when everyone is talking to eren asking him about the armoured and collosal is switches to a shot of reiner listening in at the other table with absolutely no context once the armour is mentioned

Rewatching this knowing all the current information is mind boggling.

When you rewatch this there are so many things that make stuff you know now feel obvious lol. Attack on Titan is really damn good like that

Reiner and bertholdt wanted to bring eren with them then and there as they didn’t want to kill any more humans or destroy any more walls. Despite them being the titans that ruined eren mikado and admins lives and we’re the reason erens mum was eaten, they still felt terrible for what they had done, there will be more explanations in a few episodes time.

One of the best episodes of the series, definitely the best from season 2

Eren froze up and started crying because Reiner and bertholdt were his best friends for 3 years after Armin. THey helped everyone get better during their training andeveryone felt like reiner and bertholdt were there big brothers. It was much harder for eren and the rest to accept them as the titans compared to Annie.
