Agree with this reply 100%. Light was extremely cautious while battling against L. As soon as he thought he had won he lowered his guard. Now there is a bunch of holes that N can use to his advantage. If Light continued to be as thorough as when he first started and treated N as seriously as L he wouldn’t be making these mistakes.
If you've ever watched Breaking Bad, Death Note is pretty similar to that with regards to the protagonist. I'll leave it at that in case you haven't to avoid spoiling too much. Just remember, Light started this journey wanting to make the world a better place, but obviously, he ended up getting high on the godly power.
If pain from naruto taught us anything. Is that everyone has their own version of justice as justice is simply a point of view. And a point of view is based of one's opinions, beliefs, or brainwash. So in the reality of things it should be called Schrodinger's justice as everyone is right and wrong about who's justice is the right justice.
