I'm not going to lie. I don't like this show anymore lol. I cannot stand Light. I cannot stand it. I'll go ahead and watch the rest of the episodes with you Suzy, but whew I just can't stand it lol.

Just to explain. There are four death notes. Ryuk had two, but he gave one to light Yagami. Rem had two as well, but she gave one to Misa. When Rem died, Light took her death note. Ryuk still has one notebook, light has one, Misa has one, and the japanese police took one from Mello.

There's 3 death notes because Ryuk still have his with him, all the other ones are with humans

When lights dad died that was the last remaining innocence that light had now there's no stopping him he's pure evil and yea I feel so bad for he's family also I think when light cried part of him was crying cuz he loves hes dad and it's less about Mello getting away

Even if "L" and others like him might want to catch Kira as a personal challenge, they're still doing relatively smaller-scale evils to save the world. Whereas Light, not only is he a despicably horrible person, but the scale of his actions is felt a lot more by the entire world.

Even if crime is temporarily lowered, the Death Note will eventually corrupt him to kill more and more innocent people. Then eventually Light or one of his successors won't kill for the sake of justice. And the world will be worse off than if Light had just never used the Notebook in the first place.

I believe his sadness was genuine when his dad died. That he tried to think about Mello and ignore what's in front of him but still broke at the end when he was crying.
