So that way the filler arc will end sooner. frankly speaking the majority of your viewer want the cannon arc with your reactions and that filler arc is so long and boring...

Hey Suzy? That child Yukimaru? Not to spoil anything, but he isn't a "vessel." There is a totally different reason. Guren, the woman with the crystal Jutsu "wanted" to be Orochimaru's vessel and she is ticked because Sasuke was picked instead.

This arc and the next filler arc is character progression, it just adding stuff that the original author did not have time to do in the manga

im pretty sure Yukimaru is a boy. the Maru ending alwasy denotes a boy i believe. Also, yes, cattails are a real plant.

Also Suzy, this arc isn't really "filler". The Sasuke moments are canon and so is that monster that you saw in the lake. You need to remember them. And there will be other huge moments that are canon that you must remember.
ALSO: The reason why there's filler in the first place is because the anime catches up to the manga too fast. The author (like all authors in Japan) release 1 chapter a week but each episode covers 3 chapters a week and each episode is also weekly. So when the anime catches up to the manga, they make filler arcs so that the manga can go far ahead again. This also means that the longer the filler arc, the further away the manga is from the anime which means that the next arc will be really fast paced. But if there are no fillers then the anime will always be caught up with the manga. So then you'll have arcs that are extremely slow paced. And you've already seen an example of this during the arc where Naruto, Yamato, Sai and Saskura went to the bridge to catch Orochimaru's spy, Kabuto. Hopefully this makes sense.

It's not a filler arc. Most of the ones people say are filler arcs aren't filler arcs - there's just a lot of complaining weeaboos that pretend to be "anime experts"
