When you mentioned that many people don't like Sasuke anymore, I must honestly say that the Evil Path suits him. He shields himself from everyone so he doesn't let his feelings get in the way of not seeing anyone else die. This "loneliness" gives him even more strength, so I find Sasuke much more "cool" when he is "evil". He acts cold on purpose to continue to avenge Itachi and that's why he also becomes stronger.
Agreeing with most of the comments here but you don't always need to pick and choose a side!. Most of my favorite shows try not to have such black and white characters and makes it just entertaining to watch as observers from a 3rd party. Just my 2 cents.
Danzo did dirty stuff to protect the village, just like Itachi. Danzo is not the villain.

That's why I don't understand why people defend him. Yes he has done dirty work for the Leaf but that doesn't excuse the fact that his bull shit helped to create people like Pain and Sasuke who turn to darkness and ultimately they end up being enemies of the Leaf.
The Uchiha massacre is basically the fault of everyone in charge (that includes the Third Hokage and his poor leadership, as usual). Itachi, Orochimaru, Tobi and Sasuke himself are the ones who put Sasuke on the path of darkness.
