To be fair, Pain wasn't looking to kill Jiraiya. Jiraiya infiltrated the hidden rain village, and Pain acted to protect it.

Danzo is basically Naruto's version of Megan from Drake and Josh. Everytime something bad happens you're like "Danzo"

Nagato never wanted to Kill Jiraiya, Jiraiya got in the way of Nagato's plans so he killed him. Also Suzy, how have you not remembered their names yet, Yahiko, Nagato and Konan are too important

If you remember Suzy, what happened to Nagato was exactly what Kakashi was talking about in like episode 3 or 4 of OG Naruto. When Naruto was tied to the stump and Kakashi told Sakura to kill Naruto or sasuke dies. Sakura was scared Shitless and that’s literally what Nagato had to do. Yahiko did make the choice for him though, by killing himself.

I felt absolute pain when yahiko died. I can see it in nagato eyes.

Even though Yahiko wasn't as strong as Nagato or even Konan, You can really tell that he was a great leader and above all else an amazing human being
