Following the Master's Shadow - Naruto Shippuden Episode 153 Reaction
Comments
I don't think Jiraiya's death was a waste. He was an amazing character and he served a purpose before he finally died . He said himself he was the only one who knew the secret about Pain. In my eyes he's a hero otherwise many more would die not knowing how to defeat him.
If we're talking about a waste look at TenTen the most irrelevant character from Naruto's class. The Ichiraku guy gets more screen time

That sounds like an assumption that she missed something, what are you thinking of specifically? Even while talking she can hear and see what's being said. The whole point of a reaction is that you should talk about your impressions of what's happening. Honestly I thought her reaction was great and she understood exactly what kind of loss this was for Naruto and Tsunade.
Yeah.. Hey Suzy, may I suggest to pause the video so that you can comment on certain things? Sometimes things going fast and you might missed it. Pausing and comment can avoid the issue of copyright I think plus we get to know your reaction in each things without worrying you missing something. Just my thought thanks
after seeing this episode so many times, I feel like maybe they should have shown Kakashi feeling a bit more sad for Jiraiya. He was close to Jiraiya too after Tsunade and Naruto.
When I heard the line ' I am Jiraiya, you can send me love letters later ' today, a thought popped up in my mind. Wouldn't it be cool if Suzy actually wrote a love letter to Jiraiya. Haha, lol, :P :P

Kakashi isn't the type to cry in front of others though (or maybe at all). Kakashi was not even shown crying after the 3rd Hokage died (and he spent more time with the 3rd from what we know). You have to realize he has been through a lot of trauma and has experienced much more than Naruto. Mentally Kakashi exemplifies the idea of a true shinobi that shows no emotional weakness, this is what the writer wanted to show. If you notice at the 3rd's funeral all the chunin and jonin were not crying because they are more used to hiding their emotions. Even Asuma who was the 3rd's son was not shown to be crying in public. Kakashi was obviously sad about Jiraiya's death (idk if he cried privately), but Kishimoto wants to focus on Naruto and Tsunade (who were the closest to him) more than Kakashi who had far less scenes with him. I would have appreciated an introspective from Kakashi though showing his sadness. Something like "I won't be able to read your books anymore, will I?".
TiI made some lyrics for the song that play when iruka talks to him samidere
"If my pain was just an illusion
It would still hurt just as bad
And though you taught me many things
This lesson i just can't grasp....
When I'm on your back i know I'm home
When I'm by your side i know I'm strong.
You could see my smile from any crowd
Even as i cry i know you're proud..."
Now I'm making me cry??

It makes it pointless having threatening villains if they can't take out characters we love or like. I would have preferred someone other than Jiraiya being gone. Jiraiya could have done more awesome things but it is what it is. His death was not in vain.
