I think you underestimate how strong the akatsuki are. Also in the Gaara retrieval arc Deidara implied that the other villages didn't care that their jinchuriki were taken. So unlike Naruto and Gaara, the others didn't have anyone protecting them.

It's not that the tailed beasts are weak. Sometimes in any anime/Manga they tend to offscreen certain fights. Meaning that the fight happened, but we don't get to see what happened, but we do see the victor.

The Jinchuriki are the people that have the tail beast inside of them, not the tailed beast themselves

It's not that the other Jinchuuriki were weak by any means, it's that the Akatsuki are just that powerful. Each one of them are S class and in teams of 2, vs the Jinchuuriki who are fighting by themselves, unlike Naruto and Gaara, the others don't have people actively supporting them forcing them to fight alone.
As for match-ups:
One-Tails vs Hidan (You seen how Gaara got taken down)
Two-Tails vs Hidan and Kakuzu (the immortal duo)
Three-Tails vs Deidara and Tobi (getting bombed until he couldn't fight back)
Four-Tails vs Kiasme (His sword drains chakra and Kisame himself has a massive chakra pool on level with tailed beasts, so he just needed to out last the host)
Five-Tails was off-screen
Seven-Tails was off-screen
Which leaves Six, Eight, and Nine

Just because Sauske is a rogue ninja doesn't mean he can't come back to the village. If instead of killing Itachi he wanted to just comeback he would be forgiven. Its not how you think it is Suzy.

Just wait a few episodes, and they will let you experience a tiny little bit of true pain. Trust me you won't question their strength afterwards anymore.

from episode 130 to 140 will be the hardest episodes and most intense in entire naruto shippuden anime u will cry a lot :'(
