The power that erens dad Grisha stole was a special titan which has been named yet. That titan has the ability to erase human memories. The king 100 years used this power to erase the memories of everyone in the walls so all they know of the world is the world inside the walls. When rod Reiss touched erens back his royal blood triggered erens suppressed memories of the night he ate his father but also the night his father killed the rest of the Reiss family. Erens dad has the power of a titan but then stole the Reiss power as well, this gave him two titans which he then passed down to eren. The Ackerman’s have special abilities when backed into a corner and are extra powerful compared to normal humans, this is why Levi Mikasa and Kenny are so overpowered
