You saw what happened with eren and he had that exact same expression when they were escaping on the boat. Same with this girl. And she froze by seeing something that horrifying infront of her eyes

i think there was some things missed in translation; what Ymir was saying was a kind thing, not a bitchy thing. she was being rough in her tone almost in a way to match Sasha's roughness with her villiage accent. this world is not kind to differences. Mikasa's heritage made her a target, sasha hid her truth for much the same reason (she sounds almost completely different person with her accent in the sub, think general american vs southern)

The dub did a really bad job of translating. Basically Ymir was saying that Sasha shouldn’t hide her accent because she’s embarrassed of it and just needs to be herself and not care what others think of her. She just said it in a very blunt way.

Ymir just wanted Sasha to be true to herself and not switch up her accent because it was embarrassing to her . She did it in a harsh way but I don’t think it’s right to call her a bitch for that she just did it in a harsh way .

after watching this episode Sasha became my favorite character on this show.
she was always funny and charismatic but on this episode
she showed how she is a true hero.
great soundtrack during her fight against that titan.
i love Sasha.

Also Ymir wasn’t being mean to Sasha, she was trying to get her toughened up and not be afraid to showcase her true self, also this flashback was to the start of their training days 2-3 years ago. All the main cast are very good friends at this time. Every character has a backstory so make sure to look out for them as they are all really interesting
