Just like to point out that most the scenes in this episode were not in the manga. That being said, if you are going to use filler this is how you do it. I never watched the filler myself but I do enjoy seeing the way they chose to tell this part of the story. This episode is like 80 % filler hehe. But done well.
The show is designed to be watched as is, not picked apart for "manga canon" nonsense. It's 10x better if you watch it from start to finish and can pick up all the nuances.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. When Naruto Shippuuden was still airing it got a horrible reputation for having a ton of fillers. The only reason it had so many fillers was because the anime got dangerously close to the manga at one point. It was VERY RARE when there were any fillers that had a good quality storyline. The three tails arc is a good example, one of the most infamous and horrendous filler arcs in anime.
The in-canon filler is fine. But the full filler arcs absolutly do not need to be seen to enjoy the main story, in fact its much more enjoyable if you skip them. Especially the later ones. Suzy has not even gotten to the worst of the filler yet, around the 400's is where I say don't even bother, it destroys the momentum and pacing of the climax of the story and at that point there is only like roughly 75-80 episodes left of canon, you might as well stick through to the end. I repeat, DO NOT watch the filler arcs into the 400's with the exception of one specific arc being the K arc. Other then that, NO!! A big taboo if you want to truly enjoy the finale of the story.
if you do decide to watch them because the completionist inside of you just won't let it go. Then here is my advice. Look at it as a completly seperate thing completly detached from the canon plot. Don't let your mind percieve it as being part of your experience because if you do, your deductional conclusion of the finale of naruto will be clouded and not very accurate. As long as your smart enough to know that these fillers are fillers for a reason, there NOT part of the canon, then your ok. Don't let your mind think of the ending of the war as being draaaaged on for ever because of the filler, you have to erase that from your memory.
