Hope this isn’t a spoiler but to answer your questions about the reanimated shinobi they’re slightly weaker than when they were alive however the trade off is that they have infinite chakra don’t get tired & can regenerate from anything that’s why they need to be sealed away in order to be stopped.
There are some cases where the reanimated ninja is stronger now than when they were alive like Itachi bc when he was alive Itachi was ill that’s why he would always rub out of chakra fast and cough up blood during his fight with Sasuke but now that he’s reanimated he’s no longer ill & has all the benefits of being a reanimated ninja.

In OG Naruto the Chunin were leagues better than the Genin and the Jonin leagues better than that. In 300 a large group of ninja, mixed with Chunin and Jonin all looked like brand new Genin against a concept that was definitely not hard to grasp. Spread out and feel for the real clam. Lke the episode is trying to say that there was no one with a jutsu there that could find it? Heck even just walk blind until you hit something is a better idea than what they did. lol
