Deidara does remember everything from before he died, but Suzy he would not have been able to know if Sasuke lived after he blew himself up so he assumed he was dead since the explosion would be inescapable normally. Also that is essentially Deidara's actual soul and consciousness that has been brought back to life artificially through the reanimation jutsu. You will learn more about it later, just know they get brought back to life with all of the memories they had up until their death.

Suzy, when the old guy said that the deidara they were fighting wasn't actually him, he was only partly right, deidara's current Body is fake, it was created from DNA left behind by deidara (like blood or a strand of hair for example) but his consciousness is the real thing which is why he remembers everything that happened until he died.
