I consider myself a forgiving person because even when someone may have wronged me in some way, I choose not to hold it against them. However, I cannot say that I feel bad for Danzo. I credit his devotion to the leaf, but nothing more. If it was not for him, there could have possibly been another way to save the Uchiha clan without killing them. Sasuke possibly wouldn't have gone down this path of hatred. When Pain attacked, Naruto could have gotten to the Leaf sooner before it was destroyed attacked if not for Danzo. He abandoned the Leaf villagers cowering in the Foundation while Pain decimated Konoha. Nagato wouldn't have lost Yahiko and become Pain if not for Danzo's interference. There are other accounts, but for the sake of Suzy, I won't say. Almost every huge problem that somehow endangers the Leaf seems to stem from Danzo's actions! He may have had good intentions, but he went about it the COMPLETELY WRONG way! I don't feel sorry for him, not at all. Some of his bitterness may have something to do with his jealousy of Lord Third

Itachi didn't want Sasuke to get revenge on the Leaf, actually he didn't want Sasuke to learn the truth about why he killed his clan. What Itachi wanted was for Sasuke to kill him and then return to the village a hero.

This is why when during Pain's attack Suzy said that Tsunade should've grabbed Danzo by the neck like she did the other two elders, I was laughing my ass off. Danzo is no joke.

Even though Danzo is a scumbag, he was actually kind of right when he said Sasuke didn't care about the truth and that he just wanted something to take out his hatred on. The truth is that Itachi cared about the village, but Sasuke ignores this truth and decides he wants to destroy it completely because he has succumbed to his hatred.

And there you go. Sasuke keeps hurting Naruto more and more. This time giving him an anxiety attack. That after all this Naruto keeps going after a guy who causes him so much pain and has no care for him anymore and the worst thing, the story presenting it it like a good noble thing is a very toxic message. What the hell was Kishimoto thinking.

Itachi didn't want Sasuke to destroy the leaf, that's why Itachi beg to the 3rd hokage to never learn the truth. Give Sasuke a new power to protect the truth from Madara incase he is suspicious that Madara somehow know about it.

The letter on your jacket うちは一族, We can read it Uchiha Ichizoku that means Uchiha clan and that is composed of Hiragana and Kanji in Japanese.

This is possibly too late, but fundamentally the plan Itachi Did have was that after Sasuke killed Itachi, and having killed Orochimaru, he would have no reason to join the Akatsuki, he wouldn't learn the truth, he would think Itachi was a criminal, and at this point killing two major enemies to the leaf, he would have committed the crime of leaving the village, but at that age he gave no benefit to orochimaru, and even killed orochimaru, given the way Danzo and the elders work, it was likely that Sasuke would be welcomed back if not given a slap on the wrist at that point, so he could after wandering lost find his way as a leaf ninja, I believe that was the intent, but Madara ruined that by telling Sasuke the truth in that critical time frame which gave sasuke an immediate new goal

Ya know, Donzo isn't wrong about Sauske. Yes Sauske learning the truth about Itachi changed his hatred a little, but he more just wants to destroy everything because he's pissed off.
