The anime completely ruined the good story from the manga... She should not watch the anime, but read the manga instead. One cannot even follow along with the story. That's how much was skipped from the manga.

I loved Tokyo Ghoul. If she didn't read the Manga the Anime should be fine. Just because you didn't like how they did it doesn't mean other's can't. I don't read Manga, tried, not for me, so anime is all i have. To each their own.

Hey Suzy, awesome reaction as always. I just wanted to mention that in the manga never mentioned the gender of the Shinigami which means probably Rem could be a male but I'm not sure. That's why I feel like Rem loves Misa.

Suzy go back to i think it's the last episode. Rem explains when they give up possession of the death note they lose all their memories of it. Light told Ryuk that when he says get rid of it, that means to give up possession of the death note. Light said It's time, and said Get rid of it, and his entire personality changed.

Light buried his death note. It’s Rem’s book that’s been given away. And Light’s dad asked to be detained because he was worried about his state of mind knowing that his son is confined and what he may do. And I think Light is trying to convince L that Kira is able to jump from person to person without that person knowing. Like some kind of mind control.
